ART HOOVER

President

Art HooverArt Hoover co-founded Matrix HG in March 2002. As president, Art has an integral role in ensuring Matrix HG is a customer-focused, high-performance company. Art is known for taking on HVAC design-build retrofit projects that many companies find too challenging to perform. Art has the experience, insight, creative intelligence, and foresight to evaluate HVAC systems, design-concepts, existing equipment and problems and then conceive innovative design-build solutions that add value while keeping the customer’s needs as the primary focus. Art has mastered the skills of thinking outside the box and on the fly; these practices are fostered and encouraged among the company’s employees, maximizing the company’s performance, creativity and ingenuity on projects that demand results. And every Matrix HG project demands results.

Art has been in the HVAC trade since 1994. Prior to co-founding Matrix HG, Art worked his way through the UA Pipefitters Union from apprentice to journeyman. He worked as a commercial HVAC technician performing service calls, retrofits of existing equipment and installations of new equipment.

Art is most proud of the Matrix HG team because, as he explains, “My team is repeatedly called on to sort out projects with accelerated schedules and budget constraints. No matter what is thrown our way, even with the biggest challenges, the Matrix HG team creates a quality project with a great outcome for the client!”

Art Hoover is a proud member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractor’s National Association (SMACNA) and Mechanical Service Contractors of America (MSCA).

Art cites a diverse client base that includes some of the largest companies in California, close, cooperative relationships that Matrix has developed within the business community, and the ability to continue strong and steady growth during the economic decline as some of Matrix HG’s greatest achievements for a relatively young company.

When not overseeing client projects and company growth at Matrix HG, you are not likely to find Art at home. He will most likely be competing in the Top Dragster class in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). He won the Nor Cal Top Dragster in 2009, the 2010 and 2011 Super Pro Championship at Infinion Raceway and had a second-place finish in the Division 7 Top Dragster NRHA circuit in 2010 and 2011. He might also be enjoying non-competitive sports with his family, riding dirt bikes, water skiing or wakeboarding.
